When I used to work for a Satelite Communication system (V/SATS) we had quite a few of them. We brought them over from Hughes Network (America) and they came in four segmented parts....we assembled them on site....and they are really sturdy and costly too! I should imagine Hughes has a Depot in the U.K as well.

Budget will play a big part also in deciding what dish to purchase.

I if you need the dish for Showtime best check were you are in the country. We got a 2.4 Andrews dish cost £1800 + groundstand and could not receive it.

You don't say where you are in the country, the original poster is from South Wales, an area where we have several members who have received Nilesat, so there is quite a bit of information about dish size required.

since,orbit and showtime are one company,i could imagine,that they will soon move,to atlantic bird 4 A,and the signal will be much lower,then currencly on nilesat!

yesterday,some orbit channels,moved to nilesat!
