Some of the very early Doctor who episodes look amazing, the special effects are rubbish, compared to today, but they are still watchable, it's a shame that the BBC destroyed them, or threw them out.
I came across a few sites when I was watching an early series on TV4 Science Fiction, 0.8W, and discovered 1 of the episodes was missing:

My first recollection of Dr.Who was William Hartnell and the Zarbi.

I suspect those are among the lost Episodes, sadly.

IIRC there was a dog-like creature associated with the Zarbi. I suspect it later went on to appear in The Magic Roundabout.

I think I've seen that episode on TV4 Science Fiction, where the doctor uses his ring, and a converted collar, to control one of the giant insects, is this the one?

That's the chap.

The dog-like character always reminded me of Dougal.
