can the 7020 with 2 sat tuners on board run 2 disec motors independently of each other?

Interesting question Crossbones, will be interested to hear the answer myself, although I think that you will be limited to single motor control, as the software would have to be significantly different for twin motor control.

hmmmmmmm ye suppose, just would be good to run 2 motors from 1 dream box.

I was under the impression the 7020 only had one tuner & the expansion slots were on the 7025

OK, same answers before as well ka-chinggg :-band

Seriously, maybe you could try it out even with only one motor and a second dish+LNB. Simply turn the dish to a sat, and turn the 2cd tuner with motor to a different sat. That will give you an idea. You might even switch the cables around once you got two different sats tuned in to see if both move the dish.

Ye good idea m8, but Ive only got the 7000, just curious if it works, might upgrade to one if it works.

Had a reply over at the den by wafer world saying that his installer has said its possable.

But I have read that there are still alot of problems with the 7025, with cs etc.

I have 2 dishes, 2 motors and 1 dm7025 driving them, and both can be set up independently of each other.
I don't do cs, so can't comment on that side of things, although I know there is a problem with gbox and sly cards on the 7025.

Thanks for that stu m8.

Second motor could also be useful to track inclined orbit satellites. One dish but two motors.
