Does anyone in the UK get anything from 21.6°E?

According to the footprint map _http://www.eutelsat.com/satellites/215e_w6_popd.html it should be do-able in the UK but I`ve not heard of anyone getting anything?

I notice on lyngsat that it is mostly feeds on there so wondered if anyone has tried to catch this bird and what is carried on these feeds? _http://www.lyngsat.com/ew6.html

I get a few channels from 21.6e, here's what i get:
10972V SR 2170 FEC 3/4 Baghdad TV
10978V SR 1447 FEC 3/4 Majan
11004H SR 2593 FEC 5/6 KNN
11527V SR 2857 FEC 3/4 Afaq TV
11531V SR 2857 FEC 3/4 AlRai
11544H SR 2170 FEC 3/4 Yemen Today

Cool, I noticed that there was a few clear services on there and also what looks to be internet

I think I`m going to give it a shot because it`s someting I`ve never stopped on, I`ve always went from 19.2 to 23.5

On east coast of Ireland this is what I get at present

10972 V 36%
10975 V 36%
11449 V 63% Data only
11524 V 34%
11527 V 34%
11531 V 35%
11544 H 47%
11550 H 37%
11561 H 45%
11612 V 46% Data only

I find signal strengths can vary and the most stable tp is probably 11561.

Cheers for the info on this guys

The winds have settled down here a bit now so do you reccon it`s worth having a scan when the wife goes to bed or shoudl I leave it for during day light hours? (there is light cloud cover but the sky is clear ish where the moon is, a little to the right of where I need to point now lol)

Don't know, I just quickly tried it just now when I read the thread, I don't think I've motored my dish there much before either.

Just had a quick flick and found nothing, that could be due to the wind picking back up and the cloud cover returning between my last post and now

I`m going to try again in the morning after the school run I think (if that wind decides to play fair lol)

In my experience with 2 different motors, you have to be very careful with getting 21.6E. For me, the strongest signal is Yemen Today on 11544H 2170 but you have to move very finely east from 19.2E (or west from 23.5E) as the usual move commands will overshoot it (at least with my new 1m Orbital and the same with my old, slightly dented TD-110).

joe01.

That appears to be a list of transponders from 7 East. Those frequencies are not listed as being on 21.6. What channels are you getting?

Can't get a single thing on 21.6e where I am. Was hoping to have a play with the NBC HD & ABC feeds on 11.304h. Checked 23.5e and the signal is booming in. May have to get the meter out tomorrow and see if I can tweak the dish.

You should be getting something from 21.6E, although your alignment needs to be spot on as there are 2 much stronger sats at either side of it, and W6 isn't the strongest of signals. I can get everything currently listed on it, but strengths range from 65% down to just barely lockable signals on some of them. Strongest ones to try are 11532V SR 2857 or 11655V SR 2850.

Thanks for the reply SS. I fitted tried it on a friends 1m dish and there's plenty of signal so it's either my quick 5 minute alignment or the trees in front of it. Hope it's the alignment as I haven't got a chainsaw lol
It'd be good to know if anyone's managed to watch nbc & abc as apparently they're biss and there's plenty of info floating about on google.

This is very strange... Just been outside with the meter and checked the dish. The arc is absolutely spot on! The signal was definitely there. I have a feeling it could be the dreambox but then again I should at least be able to get something on that sat. I have a feeling it's not turning the motor to 21.6 as it's all on usals. May the satellites xml or something similar.
Might get the F3 out and try that receiver after I've manually tried using disecq 1.2

Personally, i don't like these usals and disecq systems, i use a Vbox with an old 36V motor, the dish goes exactly where i tell it to!

Yes, good signal here on the Gibi 1.25.

21.6E 11532V.webp

Al Rai TV.webp

Yes totally with you there. Fitted a system for a friend, think the motor was called silent gold or something like that with a vbox 2. Works a treat with his dreambox. Once the positions have been stored in the vbox it's even more easier. I'm just too lazy to lay extra cables to the back of the garden hehe.

Thanks Llew. Going to plug the skybox f3 in now and see if that helps.

Just had a go and could only lock LBC Europe at 30% Q on 11.563h using the f3. The signal was up and down all over the place so looks like it could be the trees after all. Now the signal has completely gone but will have another look with the meter tomorrow.
