hi -
just to compare from this location --
7.1 db -- good lock (no audio breakup) - it only scans as 1 radio channel for me -- id = VTC NSS7

cheers nelson.b.

same here nelson with 53% quality.

..only 9.1dB and some breakups in sound.
9dB should be more than enough. The threshold for quasi error free reception is about 4,5dB with FEC=1/2.
The culprit is probably your LNC which produces too much phase noise to get stable reception at this very low symbol rate.

Hi Chris1979,

I can confirm your scan from position 22.0°W.
3662 R seems changed SR, according your scan.

Best Regards
qwer.

Scan result table for 22.0W attached below.

The frequencies and broadcasters may have changed a little since the last contribution to this topic two and a half years ago?

There are quite a few data transponders that I excluded from the table. Also, I was getting a signal at about 4.1 dB, below the level for a lock from 3974 L which is listed as on the West Hemi beam. I am quite a way out of the footprint for the West Hemi beam here in the UK so I am not sure if it is a true signal or some spurious artefact?

I also managed to receive all nine frequencies with "radio maria".
with 1.80 it is very limited.
I don't know if another program can give this result.

Even with a small antenna, SES-4 can be received even if the signal is weaker. It's enough to console me that I didn't try in vain.
As long as operators will use DVB-S2 standard, we can hope to receive C-band with such antennas.
