Hi

I wanted to setup a motorized systemlong ago and now i am on it:cool:
I have some questions though

1-should i build a system that is actuator based or H-H mount based?(with explaining please)

2-in cairo/egypt is the 240cm necessary or a motorized 120cm will do?(to get most channels &etc)

3-whats the difference between the G-box V4000,V3000,.....etc & does it matter?

4-How to prevent a motorized system from getting out of sync?(adjustment problem/needs to be fixed)

1. Actuator. There are very few H-H Motors than are specified for Dishes over 1.2m. Those that are specified for "up to 1.2m" can't always be used if eg the dish is steel and exposed to wind.

2. Whether 2.4m dish is necessary depends upon what your essential viewing requirements are ie Which Satellites are "must haves".

3. A crumb for someone else. (ie I don't know!!)

4. You can't guarantee the absence of free-play, backlash, physical movement of "fixed" parts due to storm/accidental damage. Fix as required.
