26E (Badr-6) MENA Beam

I created this topic as I could not find a dedicated topic for this satellite and beam in the "Fringe Reception Reports"
Previous reports are probably mixed in with some of the other 26.0E listings?

Anyway, back to business, I have pasted below a few pictures of frequencies locked from the Badr-6 MENA beam at 26.0 East.

The frequencies are listed below, all with SR of 27500.

11747 V
11766 H
11785 V
11804 V
11823 V
11843 V
11862 V
12476 V

Location: Southern UK
Weather: Cloud free sky

11862 V

I did have others in the past as well but not tonight..

I think that there may have been some changes to either the signal levels or the beam footprints for some of these satellites clustered around 25.5E to 26.0E?
It is probably a couple of years since I did a detailed scan of this group and current signal levels are lower for the Badr-6 MENA beam than they used to be.

very tight at the moment (3,70m)

What size dish did you use?

I can receive a few transponders of Badr 6 in the west of the Netherlands with 180cm Channel Master dish and Black Ultra LNB.
Only with good weather conditions and with a lot distortion. Although I think a tree is also blocking the signal a bit.

11785 V and sometimes also 11747 V and 11862 V

So the situation is restored?
Any idea via which satellite and beam?
It can't be Badr 4, because then I would have signal.
Badr 5 also has transponders in that frequency-range, MENA BSS beam which I can't receive but is comparable with the BSS beam of Badr 6.

How about the C-band transponders? No other satellite on that position has capacity in C-band.

In Slovenia atm no badr6 reception, before that all Trp could be catched even with the 125 cm. Did they switch to badr 5 ? Let us see what will follow...

Can you receive 11919 H? That one was already on MENA BSS beam on Badr 5.

11747V signal has increased 4-5db here

Aha, also the beam was changed...the new one is covering main and nord Europe better then before..11919H left long time ago according to Flysat...maybe the Trp is active, but no sign at my place...

11.919 H is off.

they put it on badr 5..no signal...

11 747 V 27500

I've been testing for a few days now. it is somewhat difficult to assess where the transponders went. in the front area (11700-11900) the signals have improved significantly. in the rear (12300-12500) everything is as usual. I found out from a DXer friend of mine that the C-band is still possible. Possibly the Badr 6 is not completely defective.

I think that Badr 6 is still active, at least at C-band and the presence of those frequencies proves it..

Despite you have more signal on the lower frequencies I can't receive 11747 V and 11785 V, which I could a while ago.

All seems normal to me.

Yes, everything is back, but the marked area is now about 3 dB better for me. Unfortunately, I can no longer get the 11900 V at the moment. It is now being pushed away from the other more powerful neighboring transponders.
