Just checked again this morning, both signals still booming in here. Variance still approx 0.7 dB , 11919 H being the stronger. Also noticed that 12284 V had about a 2 second delay compared to 11919 H.

Appears that 1.8/2.4 is needed for Badr 7 NWA/Mena beam in uk, @Captain Jack @nelson_b anything to report from 12284 ?

Badr-7 looks like a dead loss here in the UK for 100cm dishes

Nilesat 201 & Eutelsat 7 West A Ku-band North West Africa
Computer designed feed-horn down-links are making long distance satellite reception impossible
Hopefully they will launch another satellite with a European beam before Badr-4 expires here @ 26 east in 2021 so nothing to worry about atm

Badr-6 is just about doable on a 1.8m dish - most transponders are coming in. On a good day, I get the east African beam as well.
