30.5E (Arabsat 5A)

A nice clear evening, almost freezing, with good signals from many positions.
Al Iraqiya can be locked finally, since it moved to 12523V long ago.
Feeds: 12509V DEFAULT, 12512V TV, 12708V uuy (rotana logo), 12711V TAND1

It is almost 4 years since this topic was active so here is an update with a few pictures from today's scan in Ku-Band. I managed to lock 4 transponders, three of them regular broadcasts and one feed.

The strongest signal was from Sudan Tx at 8.5db on a Dr HD F15 receiver, nowt special there with that one, the kids round here are picking that one up with dustbin lids. However, I also got a lock on EriTV and Ashorooq TV both of which can be a bit tricky at times.

One has to ask what has happened to Arabsat 6A? It has been co located for many months and no sign of anything.

There seems to be a few active feeds on 30.5E in Ku-Band?
I have attached a picture from one that I locked today, I was just about locking this one yesterday but it was pixelated quite a bit, the signal is strong enough today to render a clear picture.

You are doing well to lock Sudan Tx with a 1.0m dish

i managed to get Sudan TV on my Triax 1.1m in Sheffield in the summer only once tho but it was watchable

Currently receiving these, used to receive 11.077 V (LBC) & 12.521 V (Iraqia TV) but not anymore. 12.520 H 12.544 V have long left...
No chance in 10.70-10.95 GHz band.
