Turn it off, turn it back on it clears, but I know it's on it's way out.
Anyone know of a suitable type tv about?
Bush TV = whatever was the cheapest/grottiest set from "wherever" that the current brand-owners could find at the time! Might last a couple of years - if you are lucky - and won't be repairable because no-one knows where it came from or what is inside the case!
And probably "not" a good picture, so good luck identifying the intruders who will be after all the "good kit" you have in the garden.
So spend a bit more and get something half decent from a reputable manufacturer.

Sadly it's called built in obsolescence ...and is a deliberate ploy to up churn rate and keep the great credit machine turning..It's the third one I had, the rest of them had major problems.
By the time this one started to play up I was well out of guarantee.
I got it from e buyer
I know buddy ..I know ..Sadly, VS, there are too few like you left. Most Repairers would suck their teeth and flog the customer a new one.
Glad to say I share your approach and strive to extract every bit if life from my "stuff" and even then won' t bin it.
I won't be bin/skip raiding oop north then.
When I entered this ahem ...trade ..way back in my teens ...Blimey. That is some decline.
Added to that, there aren't that many of us who fix our own stuff (Electronic or otherwise) these days, either.
