Ok its fitted and i get no hard to get TP, should i skew it to 45 degree with a plate in it to get something/should i be picking things up as it is ?, atm its just fitted like a standard lnb, what do i need to do please ?.
 
I might be getting something now changed lnb type to 10750 12245 is locked in about the same strength as the normal lnb with cloud cover.
 
12245 is on sub-Sahara beam and is linear.

12092 is on Russian beam and is circular, so I would assume that you should get stronger signal here.

With circular polarisation, it shouldn't matter what the skew is...
 
I am more confused now Alex its not hard lol 12245 is also Russian beam ?, also didn't you mention to skew and put a credit card in to a circular lnb pal ? :confused
 
The lnb in the photo should have a plate already in it Martin, if it's a LR lnb.

I find it more surprising you getting 12245 H with same strength on circular or normal LNB, than you NOT getting the 12092 R on the circular LNB.
Because the latter I told you would happen!
 
You shouldn't need to skew it, just fit as normal. And you should be good to go. Oh and change the lo in your box to match.
 
Thanks Chris ive changed to 10750 earlier, so to top things of i could get L and R with this lnb fitted in a normal way pal ?
 
You will get LR with the lnb, but you can get bleed over, when I used mine I was able to tune in most of 42.0e, 28.2e ect.

Yeah, that's a funny satellite. 12245 is used by both beams, sub-Saharan and Russian, with the former being linear (and usually stronger) and the latter being circular. So you need to concentrate on those frequencies that are used by Russian beam only, else they are fighting over each other (in your location, anyway).

Thanks lads :)

I need to sit and read up to understand this more, i am confusing myself atm :-doh, i also have quite thick cloud that's not helping them weak signals coming in, i will have a read up in the mean time and check again when the cloud clears,
 
Is it possible that being so much on the edge of the footprint that the polarity is getting mangled through the atmospherics?
