52E (TurkmenAlem/MonacoSat)

The transponder now has a new SR and FEC:10762 H 1/2 30000

Two important announcements

, despite the change in the symbol rate of Turkmenalam's new transponder from 27500 to 30000, this transponder is currently off.

. It should be noted that the signal strength of vertical frequency 10762
has also decreased, do not touch your receivers until these problems are resolved.

Are satellite dishes still banned in Iran?
yes. importunately sattelite dish and receivers and other equipment's are banned according to parliament law date back 30 years ago. despite these restrictions many homes have satellite dish and even in rural regions its rate is high.

Will I get this sat on a 65cm dish in the Midlands?

Yes, but only the beams that cover the UK.
And probably only if the dish is pointed directly at 52E and so you are not trying to get it on an offset LNB.

In that context I have a no-name 70cm dish in W. London that is pointed at 46E with an offset LNB for 52E (and another on the opposite side for 42E) & using the 16-1 DiSEqC switch which handles the fixed dishes feeds, but the 70cm dish only gets a smallish selection of the stronger 52E channels as compared with when I use the 1.2m Gibby pointed directly at that sat. Setting the LNBs on the 70cm is a bit of a pig of a job, especially the one for 52E!

I'll be fixing it there. Just thought i'd check to see if I was wasting my before starting.

If you peak on 51.5°E there are some FTA channels on the Europe beam but they're much more marginal than 52°E (especially 11290H). The Turkmensat transponders should still be receivable.

It's the sports channels on 52e I am looking at.

It seems the east beam should be easy.

One is on the west beam 12303v though.

Be aware the quality is pretty poor

They are pirating web feeds so buffering on screen is common. Or frozen screens. Or drop outs for long periods of time. The streams used switch week to week so one week you might get the F1 in English with Martin Brundle, the next race its Italian of German commentary!

They make last minute changes about whats being shown - including chopping the end off events to switch to different sports.

Turkmen Sport hasnt worked properly for months - it runs "slow" then drops frames to catch up. Its REALLY annoying after a bit!

Might be receiver/video decoder specific as I've never seen this happen.

TM 5402

Thats interesting you dont see it. There was a channel doing the same a couple of years back - some oddity in the transmission format was found which some receivers couldnt handle. (Maybe short frames whatever that is)

There was the Octagon SX88+/Edision Primo glitching issue with the France TV multistreams on 5°W but luckily that also affected some TVs and the transmission was fixed. My Openbox V8S had trouble with RTA Sports when it was 1080i (also GB 'News') that looked like the fields were being displayed in the wrong order, both now work as expected. Same receiver currently has problems with 12699V on 19.2°E where often the video doesn't play.

Had a little play with my Triax TD65 and got it quite easily……after farting about with the TD’s nasty elevation bracket.

You’re right about the quality, it’s shocking.

in addition to the new test transponder on 11.223 h 20.000 fec 1/2 8PSK

a new test transponder has now also appeared on 11.304 h 27.500 fec 2/3 dvbs/Qpsk

It has 25 TV channels - in Persian and Afghan, including Persiana channels, Christian TBN Nejat.

My signal is weaker than the other transponders on this satellite ( on flysat, this transponder is listed as Dvbs-2 but I only have signal with dvbs )

I don't know about you, but I have completely different parameters for 11223H
