52E (TurkmenAlem/MonacoSat)

AS that's a huge dish, I'm also getting 12 dB, but with a crappy 55 cm "baumarkt" dish!
I'm sure a tiny 33 cm TechniDat DigiDish would suffice too with the current transponder parameters.

Its just the one left over from 53E Uzbekistan reception. I havent even bothered realigning it, although that may change with the demise of 53E & the forthcoming activation of Belarus Sat :D

Thanks A/S its fine this is a strong signal from this box, the 1.2 never took it above 6.9 DB 7.2 DB is a strong signal :).

Nice find Feedsat. Nice to see something new here, even if it is only data :)

Llew, it must be your dish. It's coming in strong here, hovering between 14.5 and 15 dB. Currently raining.

Hmm... dawn's early light reveals my rapidly growing Lavatera shrub was obscuring my LOS to anything east of 45E

A judicious snip of the offending branches, and signal up from 3.9 to 16dB :D

Been having a look and not sure if can get line of site to 52e in garden.

So might have to take my dish down and raise pole up half, maybe a foot to get round enough.

I don't wanna smash it into roof as I know can get round to 45e already.

My Sky Zone 2 Mk3 dish is currently down while I'm rearranging the dish furniture so I took the opportunity to try 52E on it. No real problems at all, sitting on a kitchen chair in the back garden with an Openbox S11 receiver giving 72% quality. I'd say a bit more proper tweaking with alignment and getting the best skew out of the MTi LNB (which is limited) the quality level would probably get another 2-4% increase.

Actually using that dish now for 52°E !
12265 V : 10.5 dB
12303 V : 10.5 dB
12437 H : 8.6 dB. So with 8PSK 2/3, this one has only 2 dB margin...

I hate you lot! I can get get 7E or 7W on a bottle top, but no chance of 52E with every dish in my arsenal, except the 1.8 Fam which I haven´t tried yet, on pain of death if the wife misses Emmerdale!
Thankfully, new 1.2m motorised unit is receiving UK spots no problem, double Emmerdale tonight with Corrie in the middle, gives me 1.5 hours with the 1.8 to try and find this bird.

Nowt on 12437H 30000 here. SO an 80cm isnt sufficient (unless its gone off......)

Watching the SES demo on 12437h now - getting 9.8db on a zone 2 minidish

12265 V : 11.6 dB
12303 V : 11.6dB
12437 H : 9.7 dB.
