With the Triax 1.1m Ive managed to lock the 53E Nilesat feeds frequency

12669V 22500 5/6

Its very weak (although it doesnt help that its raining here atm - while the rest of the UK basks in sunshine!)and the signal is yoyoing up and down. Cant see any of the feeds currently on air, although Im not sure the signal is stable enough to actually give a picture even if they are on air.

Its very very weak, after a bit of tinkering I managed to get a smeary testcard on "Feed 2" with EGYPTIAN RADIO & TELEVISION UNION scrolling down the page.

1m is probably the absolute minimum for this one on a fine day - Ive never seen it before despite numerous adjustments to the old 80cm I am normally using for 53E - not even a flicker on the signal bars

the strongest frequency throughout the geostationary arc (on my area ) .

I've managed to pick up 3 frequencies from 53e, just a few minutes ago on a very cloudy and a little bit rainy night (not a single sign @ 12669V). Here they are:

Another one have been picked up this morning (weather conditions same as yesterday):

Managed OK with the CM to get 12.669 Vertical 22500 OK. SQ of 69%
Strongest TP on here for me is 11.042 44950 with SQ of 89% !!

Can get round to 57 east OK but next house nearby is in the way(how inconvenient !!!! )as low in sky...

Ive finally hooked the F3 up to the Triax whilst its aimed at 53E.

Heres the ERTU tc on 12669V 22500 5/6

Its only just locking it - no end of goes to get it to scan - the vantage seems to be quite a bit more sensitive.

That took a few minutes to get a decent screengrab - its very weak, and theres lots of pixellation.

The ART feed seems to be showing a pink screen (BISS scrambled but cw file widely available)

i made a miss calculation when i cut the pole on my polar mount and need to raise it by 1ft, as it hits the sleeper at about 50w, so i can not play here atm :-(

Unfortunately, there's no a single trace of the frequencies posted earlier, except for the 11660H, which stands for the strongest one on this bird.

Agree with mephisto. Arezu TV on 11660H 2170 is the strongest. Coming in at a massive 98%SQ. Huge signal

The Russian channels are fairly strong on this satellite - it's just the Afghan/Iranian ones that seem to be a lot weaker.
