60E Intelsat 33e

anything on wide beam ?
or just spot beams.. :-ohcrap

This morning I decided to have a look at 57 East to see if a conifer next door had finally blocked it.
Nope it hasn't.To my supprise I also got two transponders not listed on 57E.
It looks as if they are from Intelsat 33e 60 East.It is the first time that I have got anything from there.
I sent the dish to 60 East and got nothing. It looks like a bit of fiddling with the longitude settings is required. The scan is with the dish at 57East.

I confirm the two frequencies received from 60.0E.Congratulations for that.
Strong signal on my area with 110cm dish.

Ever since I found out that I can get signals from 60 East I have been doing some fine tuning On the reciever not the dish. That is a job for later.I can now receive 12 transponders. Not all on the same scan a slight change of longitude East or West some drop out others come in.All appear to be from 60 East except three that flysat dose not list, not on nearby sats either.

Totally dead spectrum indeed.
Only Ovzon-3 at 59.7°E shows active, in the 10700...10950 and 11200...11450 MHz ranges.
Maybe this satellite will take some of IS-33e services.

All C-band and Ku-band beacons are down, as are telemetry signals... it seems completely dead.

Any news yet as to where the traffic from 60E is being shunted over to? Intelsat doesnt have a great number of satellites on that part of the arc.
