60E strong tp?

After yesterdays success in getting a signal off 57E Im now fancying a go at 60E.

Anyone got a strong tp for me to have a go at?

Im not expecting much success as it must be very close to the top of the hill opposite if its visible at all.

However if I dont try I'll never know :)
 
You could always go /Mobile and rig a temporary dish up actually on top of the hill.

Just for the sheer hell of it.

However the lads on the farm think Im crazy enough as it is without asking if they will take me out in a Landrover with a genny and some satellite kit :-rofl2

Ive been up the top a couple of times and it would be a fantastic sat dxing location as there are good views right round the arc.

Takes me back to RSGB Field Days and also to my own solitary efforts with a Portable Mast and 2m Yagi.
 
Difficult to receive in southern England but should be doable in Scotland (probably the only satellite with better signal up north than in the south!)
 
Aye well its going to have to wait - its gone baltic up here again and Im not going to tinker with the dishes unless the sun comes out a bit!
 
Only ever received two transponders down here, 11072V and 11490V but they are extremely rare visitors. Just scanned it and the S2 transponders are the only ones showing any form of signal level, around 1.3dB so quite a bit below lock. Probably need a 1.8 on them to lock anything.
