Just Sharing This 700Mhz clearance and potential interference to your TV

HD versions of the films being shown on Talking Pictures TV would probably not add much TBH!
True enough, but regardless of the picture resolution transmitted, the quality of the remastered Laurel and Hardy films being shown at present is outstanding.

Too many excellent oldies being shown on TPTV for me to catch up on. Many I saw at the cinema when they first came out :-rofl2

We are in a Band A area with the antenna pointed at Crystal Palace, so anything above Ch 36 is not relevant - but here is one list that I just found on UKFreetv which shows the changes we will be getting

There are already some filters available to (hopefully!) stop everything above Ch36/37, but it looks like a lot more will be needed, and possibly with a much sharper cutoff above Ch 30. OTOH the effects in areas now using higher Ch nos will be much more dramatic, with new Group A antennas to replace the existing ones?
I must have been asleep, I didn't realise what is to happen here. It looks like the LW MUX is to disappear or will it be included in another?
Here's a scan with the antenna pointed at Crystal Palace. The MUXs 600-738 are off the side from Bluebell Hill (Kent) and the top 2 are off the back from Sudbury, Suffolk. Looking at the SNRs, I think there is some co-channel interference on 490-530MHz.

Really ? When are they on ? Not the colour versions you mean ?

Certainly not the abhorrent colourised versions.

Pardon Us next Tuesday.

AFAIK Talking Pictures TV isn't widely advertised in the TV Mags or newspapers. Radio Times does though. Most are bloated with Sky detritus, they mightn't drop one of those for TPTV unless there's a call from the increasing number of devotees to consider it.
