8 way disecq switch

I wonder if someone can give me some advice or just confirm im right. I have a disecq switch with 8 ports which runs 8 lnbs for me. I have two satellite receivers one is a konig satellite receiver which supports disecq 1.1 and is the one ive been using. Mysteriously this morning it stopped working the front of the receiver is blank, ive tried changing the fuse but still nothing so ive accepted that its for the knackers yard.
I then thought of using my spare receiver which is an old manhattan receiver but the only problem is it doesnt support disecq 1.1 only disecq 1.2 and usals. Does this mean the 8 way disecq switch will not work on this receiver, i have quickly tried but without success.
 
It depends on the switch, some are able to work with 1.2 instead, otherwise no.
 
If it is an EMP Centauri it can be controlled using DiSEqC 1.2. For more info have a look at the manual.
