90cm Dish with multiple LNBs pointing WEST - Whats possible?

Hi Guys

My 2nd dish will be a 90cm dish with one of those 4 in one holders
roughly at the following location - whats possible with a 90cm and 4lnbs without too much trouble.
this dish is for fun only and wnat to pick up some bonus channels only as my main wave is mostly E.

I'm sure you mean 51.5764° -3.2422° unless you live in the middle of the North Sea.

Not much DTH on the west side of the arc except Hispasat which is mainly duplicating stuff from 19ºE and a few other satellites. Lots of feeds though but they are spread across more than 4 satellites. Have you considered a motorised setup?

Just as an aside. The lnb's fit on an bar secured to the arm. Make sure that arm is sturdy or it will wave around in the wind, such as we have today.
Mine is light alu and I've had to fix tensioned wire guys from the arm to the brickwork. Something else for my wife to complain about!

Look at fitting a DiSEqC motor to your dish setup, should give you access to several satellites; subject to line of sight.

I am trying to add just a few extra sats onto the wave that running e to w and this extra dish will carry on from the w.

just out of interest - struggling to find a site or page on here that lists each of the channels that each sat shows - can anyone linky here - so that I can give you a better idea of which sats are of interest.

also this will hep solve the motor questions if needed or just a 3/4 multi bracket

if I go for a motor on the spare dish pointing west - whats the most basic receiver I will need to get to operate.

This will go in spare room and any channels are a bonus on this one.

will it be a sat receiver with diseqc 1.1??

DiSEqC 1.2 is required for basic motor control.

But you'd be pushed to find a DVB-S receiver nowadays that doesn't have 1.2.

In fact, most are USALS (Sometimes referred to as DiSEqC 1.3) capable.

if he replaced his 65cm with this and pointed to astra will his channels double in numbers or triple

No change if its a straight swap - all the Astras run at such high power you can easily get them, on 43cm dishes in the southern UK

You could give him extra channels with offset lnbs for 13E / 19E though

My uncle is in Cardiff and heard I am going for this 2nd 1m and wanted it as he felt he did not have enough channels.

The footprints became a nightmare to explain so said 'YES' to the querstion.

Anyway to confirm - I giving him the dish now and wondered if I pointed to the hotbirds or any others - will he get any more channels?

just trying to keep him happy - (channel hoppper).

Last thing would be a 3 in 1 lnb holder to get the hotbird and others

He does not want the motor - just a basic setup

here another for you

if we get 8 lnb feeds coming off (singles) and want to get it to one receiver (2 dishes with 4 lnbs on each)

problem is 1 dish is already up and to the left of the house and the 2nd dish is going up at the right of the house. There is about a 30ft difference is distance. So I dont want to run that amount of cable just for them two to meet.
If I put 4 lnbs into 1x 4/1 switch for both sats (just below them)
I have 1 run from each box (2 in total)

Then I run those two cables into another 4/1 or 2/1 switch - will the receiver pick then 8 lnbs?

will this work?

Or would I need to run masses of cable from both into a 8/1 switch and then get that one cable into the receiver. This will mean a 250m drum and the aunt shooting me for coming up with the idea

the switch boxes - choices 3x 4/1 or 1x 8/1

Sat 1 30ft difference Sat 2
xxxx 30ft difference xxxxx (4 lnbs on each)

switch box options help needed here with least amount of cable.
