A Digibox in the U.S.

Hi All,

a friend has a pace minibox and was wondering if he would be able to use it when he returns to the US. He understands how to add channels and use for other satellites than 28 etc.

Would it work over there? and should he take his universal lnb. All equipment bought outright, no sky subs.

Hi Hops
Main problem is I think they are for use on 240V supplies only.
Other things to consider are: Modulator is PAL I system only
No RCA video output
Scart to TV and VCR PAL not NTSC

The minibox operates on a 12v supply, so any 110v AC to 12v DC supply should do, the video out is the main problem, but RGB should be OK on some TVs.

The main thisng is that the minibox is useless for anything other than the Sky UK service, better to sell that over here (there is a demand for them) and buy a cheap receiver for the states.
