well I have tried removing the dect phones and double checking everything but still no joy, the thing that I don't get is that I can pick up a signal on the old labgear off the higher range transponders with the same dish but not on the humax, I know that the higher tp channels are of no use but what I am trying to understand is how the system works and how to get the most from it, after all if this is to become a serious intrest I need to know the basics. on the plus side with the help you lot have given so far, I have a heck of a lot more channels than at the start of the week. does this mean that the humax receiver is just not as powerful or do I have to get my ladders out and try and align the dish again but do it while veiwing a weeker signal, thus meaning some signals from the sattelite are weeker than others. Sorry folks I know I'm asking basic questions.
