A Matsui TV - now in my office

An M19DIGB19 that is stone dead.

Before I take the back off, is there anything that constitutes a common issue with these (Caps/PSU etc) ?

Long time ago. Some of those Matsui's had a Grundig chassis. Might be worth posting more details of what you see in the PSU.

Those brand products are easily repaired with lashings of WD40 and a match... O-Ha

It will be the first thing in the house providing an HDMI input for my satellite upgrades, so I will be giving it the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

And now I've opened the box, it doesn't have a DVD in it (title amended).

And there's a dead short diode in the PSU, so soldering iron out.

And, its a SR5100 schottky thingy, and there's none in my parts bin

Would a desktop PC psu have something like this on the pcb ? I may have to go raiding
