Your thoughts on the vuvuzela lads n lasses.

Just a part of the African experience and the folks complaining are getting all worked up about nothing

Or an ear splitting drone that is intensely annoying.

Have to admit it doesnt really bother me - I just "tune it out"

I find this sound pretty exotic :) Personally I like it. One must have rock-solid nerves in order to stand it for a whole full-time match.

It had a novelty factor for the first match, but now it is simply an annoying irritation, nothing else can be heard over the top of it.

I'll be very surprised if they are not banned for subsequent world cups and hope they don't start turning up in numbers in England next season, this is a very African thing and needs to stay there.

Why not add a poll Ross?

Already one there Rolf :D

The drone doesnt seem as loud as in the first match so looks like the broadcasters have dropped the stadium microphone levels a little.

I heard this morning on the radio on my way to work that the BBC have received 220 complaints about the vuvuzela noise however viewing figures are down and they are going to introduce an alternative soundtrack with the stadium noise reduced via the red button

Agree with Rolf, novelty has gone for me but I can live with it. Ive found that with surround sound on its not as bad as coming straight from tvs 2 speakers.(Honest)

Whats annoying me more is. Why why why is James Corden on almost everything being broadcast. Now dont get me wrong I thinks the lads got talent but I'm seeing more of him than I am of my kids just now:-nutkick

You know what I found that partially reduces that ''drone'' sound on my Samsung LCD. I entered setup, went to Equalizer menu, and reduced the 300 Hz and 1 KHz band. It won't cut it out completely but it did help.

I don't really suffer from this, but what is a little bit sad for me that you can't hear the fans singing, I wouldhave loved to hear a bit of that, especially the African songs. Also, you can't hear the players at all, or hear the ball hitting the crossbar like you do on PL games. But, I can live with it.
Heard on the radio this morning that the Schottish FA has said it won't ban them.
