Spent 4 hours finishing the Fibo setup. Bit frosty at 9 am with ice on the flat roof but it soon went and very sunny. Sleeved the cables, tied in place, checked the F plugs and did a meter test on 30 west and 50 east. I was going to move the dish up a bit to reach 45 west but left it to reach a few degree past 30 west.

Very neat. ~You have an ideal location for spotting everything up there.

My only suggestion would be to replace the pole for something ferrite and less shiney, but that is a choice through experience with larger dishes.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Why ferrite, because that material is generally much weaker than steel or even ally (and also pretty brittle, and probably very expensive)?
Or did you mean ferritic (as is steel)?

Up here in the Motherland, we keep Ferrites as pets, and race them.

Looks a really nice tidy install!, I notice you have put the caps on the bolt threads too, is that a TM motor?
It was a lovely day here too, I wanted to play with my dish  But didn't get any T&K's today.

"A late friend who was a big ham radio enthusiast said, Ferrites are your friend" I have lots of them in use.
However, Ferrets are nobodies friend.

Had a workmate in the 70's (not 1870's before anyone comments) who had a pet ferret. It was very friendly and remarkably unsmelly........... the ferret was ok too.

One friend went to put out his rubbish, opened the door and there was a ferret there soaking wet looking up at him with sad eyes, he took it in and it dried off, he found some suitable food etc. Made some phone calls and was about to take it to a rescue place or RSPCA, then the thing attacked him and wouldnt let go.

A ferret once attacked a dog I had, it had escaped and got in to our back garden.
