Not a bad idea if you've got nowhere else to put your bike, but wouldn't he be better off clearing out some space in his garage? ;) I'd sooner keep my helmet and leathers inside in the warm as well.

I would guess that there are flanges on the overlapping sections to prevent that.

If it was made in china though, those flanges may aswell just be for decoration...

Looks like it's made in Germany, so the flanges probably do as designed. ;)

Depends on whether it's Mercedes-engineering (reliable and over-engineered) or BMW-engineering (Needs repairs before it rolls off the lot)....

Don't worry, there's no such thing as Aluminum here, it's the Aluminium they like to steal here...
