Hi evrybody.

I guess you all know about Africast com. It broadcasts some african channels (packages) in internet. the customers have the choice to view the programs, whether thru Tv, then you need a setbox or internet. But first of all you log yourself to a (secret)site.

My question: Cann i view the programs thru internet without being subscribed:)? What encryption do they use? What do i need?
Cheerz;)

Most of those channels you are referring to are available virtually everywhere in Europe, including Germany as Free To Air channels via satellite. Check out the coverage area: _http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/intel903_nezone.html. Just buy yourself a 6 Feet or 8 Feet Free To Air C-Band Dish Antenna and a Free To Air Receiver. Visit the following site for more details: _http://www.lyngsat.com/intel903.html

6 or 8 feet dishes are completely impractical in most of Europe - for starters most countries have strict planning regulations which prohibit such dishes except in some circumstances.

Cant help further at the moment as the africast site appears to be unreachable!

Hello!
also very good source of international channels is ww+.vtuner.com

a african channel with a lot of music is also sending on 7 east eutelsat sending in kuband called africable,in the past this channel was only in cband!
with 1,80m dish, you have african channels on the intelsats, and with a little bit biger antenna,i can watch tansania telvision on 62e in cband, but real weak signal!

in germany, only dish relgementations, when you rent a aprtment/ house, normaly when you live on land, there is no limitation!

here,a text,in german language, about the view of "european law" install big dishes!

all member states, that have reglementations in dish size, duing it against the laws in brussel!

There are at least 4 African channels on 7E - nice and strong and fta as well.

RTS 1 Senegal
2S Senegal
Africable Mali
ORTM Mali.

All easily caught on a 60 cm dish in much of Europe.
