breackup is 40% to, i use my TM 6800HD to take readings because its 1% difference to the ad sports box and gives me a proper signal reading....

60%??? Jeese... even if our readings are completely different if your breaking up at 40% like me then you have 20%/30% to play with! Where as I have 5%

I would say he is probly getting too low signal, badr6 is extremely hard to catch in the UK... maybe he needs to get someone out to help him but all i can say is good luck as its a tough on here!

Hi Gary i installed 1metre but 80cm is fine. I have 2 boxes for footie as we have bar so wanted a little rain factor tolerance ( not that it rains here much but when it does its fairly heavy)
The dish in England has an inverto twin .Do you think 11766 is on a narrow er beam so maybe more specialized lnb will help. THanks Warren

It's not a simple as that. Whether you can lock a signal depends on protocol, symbol rate and FEC as well as gross power, so when you are close to the "cliff edge" on 2 equally powerful signals it may be possible to lock one and not another. For example here Astra north beam is more than 10dB down on Astra 2D but can be received on an 80cm dish compared to the 180cm dish required for 2D.
 
I still can't work out which transponder to look at on BADR 26E.
All I can see on the list is the SD channels.

Which list are you using?

Flysat, Lyngsat, KingofSAt and others show both HD and SD.

KingofSat has the best filters (IMHO) so you can look for HD only. _http://en.kingofsat.net/hdtv.php

Anyway, 11766 H S2 QPSK 27500 5/6 is the main TP of interest. Also 11823.

No, but should still show transponders with HD signals,
even though I cannot view them!!
Autoupdate is on for all satellites.

An SD box will not pull HD signals, you need a HD box to see the channels

That depends. If the HD channel is on a DVB-S transponder (like BBC HD) the receiver will find it but not be able to display it. On the other hand if it is on a DVB-S2 transponder (like Abu Dhabi Sports) the receiver will just register the transponder as noise.

a few posts back there were people asking what matchs were on when,well i have been getting a weekly email from admc sport telling me what matchs on for next weekend,so go tyo their website and register an intrest as it says,and you will get the same email as me

ljs site say that ad sports can be got on atlantic bird and nilesat, cn we get these in the uk. sorry if this has been asked before I must have missed it

Just re-read your question lol.

Nilesat 201 is not yet in operation so the channels are not live on there, and yet no one is sure what signals will be like.

AB4A is a big no go
