activate a Sky Viewing Card in Germany

Hi!

i live in germany and i have a sky viewing card. How can i activate the Card? I dont have a sky digibox, i want to use the card with a dreambox.

what can i do, to activate?

can i use any sky digibox? or only special boxes? and if i have one, can i activate it from germany then?
 
You will need to ring Sky. make sure they dont realise you are abroad or the card will be immediately and permanently disabled.
 
BTW - if by any chance its an HD card make sure you buy an HD box! :D
 
BTW to activate the card you should also known the account dates of the skycard holder otherwise you are prolly in trouble.

In that case your cousin should be able to tell you what level its going to be authorised for.

I hope its not a multiroom card hes provided for you :-rofl2

Is it a subscription card, or a Freesat from Sky card?

If your cousin got it for you and it is a subscription card, is it a full subscription, or a discounted multiroom subscription, linked to his?

I beleive a multiroom card needs the receiver connected to your telephone and only possible in UK and ROI.
 
i asked my cousin and he said its just a FREESAT Card...with no subscription or anything like that.
 
Ok in that case you just stick it into a Sky digibox, ring the number that came on the paperwork with the card (or is on the back of the card) and leave the box in at least standby for 24 hours or so..
 
ok, so i need another digibox...or can my cousin do it also in his box, where he activated his card? hmm...or it is better just to get another digibox for activation?
