activating sky uk hd pack on sky uk sd box

I have sky uk sd box and sky uk card,and want to pay to sky for hd pack and then to put my card in dreambox 500hd box and to watch hd channels.Is this possible or there is some another way to watch hd channels and to hold my sky sd box.
My friend have sky ita hd card updating in his sky italy sd box and watch hd channels in his dream.
 
Sky UK require you to use a Sky proprietry box not a Dreambox. As a concequence they pair each card up with each receiver :-DOH!

If your card is paired up to a SD receiver and then you ask for the HD pack which you will not be able to watch on said SD receiver then the alarm bells will start ringing at Sky HQ :eek:

You will need to get a Sky HD box if you do not want to arouse suspicions.

You can get them off ebay for usually around £50. All you need to do then is get Sky to pair the card to the new receiver.

If you decide just go down the upgrade route with Sky, i.e getting a new box from them, you may find you have to sign up for another 12 month contract with the usual telephone connection agreement which means you wont be able to use the card in your Dreambox anyway.

The reason your friend gets away with it is because Sky Italia don't pair their cards to their receivers as they are not as completly paranoid as Sky UK that they are getting conned :D

There is no problem doing what you want.

Get Ѕky to send you a new HD box for free, pair your old card to the new Ѕky HD box and then pay the extra £10 per month to Ѕky for HD. When that is up and running just put the Ѕky card into your DM500HD. If you want premium channels you will need to add the box number from the new Ѕky HD receiver into your DM500HD config file.

Theres no such thing as free with Sky, theres always a catch, which will probably be in the form of a 12 month contract with telephone connection.

I would check first before going down the route with Sky.

You need to find out if your going to be signed up for another 12 months and more importantly if your going to have to be connected to the phoneline for another 12 months. By connecting the box to the phone line they get a subsidy so you don't have to pay the full price for the box (Apparently)

If your box is not connected to the phoneline when its supposed to Sky will get narky quite quickly and demand you reconnect it. The second you put the card which has been in your 500HD back in the Sky box and it rings home they have got you. Its either breach of contract by using non proprietry equipment or Fraud for CS.

A second hand box off ebay takes away all that issue as they cannot force you to connect that box to the phone (As long as you don't have multiroom) as they have not had to subsidise the box or send one of their monkeys around to fit it, so in theory you owe them knob all :D

All they have to do is pair the card to the new box :D

Just bare all this in mind before you order a new box from Sky.

Ѕky are only interested in the £1000 per year you will be paying them for Ѕky HD in a year or two's time.

What I have posted will work without problem.
 
i live otside uk and i have not free sky hd box

i have card activated in sd box.

i pay to sky hd pack

i put sky card in dreambox and run mgcamd and fored update and i watch now d channels.

it is very simple.
