Advice Needed actuator on CM 1.8m

I can post the mail in public I would not want to make mistakes
usually on the forums you can not post sensitive data

I have tried a few times to obtain one of the 'Strong' Extended Cband lnbf's for experimenting with from the Indian supplier outlets but they never return communication - have you a supplier link to share with us @anto, thanks.

Hi anto @,
you currently use the Solid LNB, can you for 40.5W C-Band 4095R 30000 post the dB value (possibly with screenshot)
If the LNB is good you should have about 11-12dB on the transponder.
For comparison, here is my current value with 2.7m Laminas. 1_0_1_E6_12D_1_C7A8FFF_0_0_0_20211211194324.webp

working out of focus results in a loss of signal with respect to the main focus
this is my report with 6 degrees of offset
your db match my MER

Here again the comparison with my old now dismantled Channelmaster 1.8m from 2019, same LNB Kaonsat 13K which is now attached to the Laminas 2.7m (both with LNB changer in focus) 1_0_1_FC_12D_1_C7A8FFF_0_0_0_20191026194647.webp

I see that tonight I have a lower signal, because I usually receive the tp in C extesa above 4500 but tonight it is OFF for my system
so I have a potential quality improvement in DB

Cheapo twin probe Chinese C-Band LNBF will do for starters, get one for a tenner from Ali Express.
I would avoid them C/Ku combi LNBF's, performance has been reported as suffering on one band from what I have read.

If you wanna go for a more expensive twin probe LNBF then Titanium Satellite sell a few models, some with filters to reduce 5G/WiFi interference.
If you wanna go reet top end then get a C-Band orthomode and stick a pair of Norsat 3120 LNB's on it.

Check out the C-Band sub section on the form to see what other members have achieved with their dishes.
A 1.8m dish correctly aligned should be getting close to 200 channels from 40.5W and getting some locks from a lot of the C-Band satellites visible to a UK installation.

Throb On... the world of C-Band is calling now that you have escaped from the world of the mini dish men with your 1.8m Channel Master.
Dish Man classification table attached below.
