Howling gales, lashing rain for days on end.... seem to have done something to my actuator. We can still get a good signal on most satellites, particularly the Astras, Hotbird & Nilesat, which are our main sources here in North Africa.
But the actuator makes a really, really alarming noise as it shifts from Astra to Hotbird. (Less bad going the other way, I think).
I have given it loads of oil etc, with no effect. Is it time for a new actuator?
It doesn't really bother me, but the dish is on our (flat) roof, which make a terrible racket in the kids' rooms and I don't want to wake them up at night!
Any suggestions?
