ADS-B / Flightradar 24 setup

Yes, been there, but how do you get it to load on to the map? Nothing doing here.
Should be automatic Llew ..
Perhaps a browser issue ..?since it uses a web page gui
What are you using ...?

I'll check mine this evening for you ..

Firefox, always used it on VR. Other VR map output OK.. I'll check later, I only have one cable coming down to this PC, and need it for satellite ATM. Thanks anyway.

Firefox here too.
Tick the one(s) you want and they change as you change the ticks

Well fwiw ..I am using IE11 for this ..
so ..I guess it aint the browser since AS has it working ok with FireFox ..
I'm at a loss ..sorry buddy ..

I think that's where my problem lies. As usual, I can track a plane (purple track in pic), but only one at a time. If I go to track another one, I lose the first. So I can't build a montage of aircraft.

I can't find that All Altitudes box where you ticked 20000 to 29999.

Hang on theres an option for multi track - let me have a dig around

Found it - Map gear wheel, options, aircraft

FWIW Im running vrs 2.4.0.30532 compiled end of July.

All altitudes is the 5th option - its tickable and just combines all the readings to give you an overall range

That's what I was missing, should have ticked the 'show all aircraft' box. I had done that earlier, but the load of trails didn't look like yours.
Obviously I should've left it to fill up, although it only shows the aircraft presently in range. Must be another box to tick somewhere to show all aircraft over a given stretch of time?

I havent seen anything like that - if they are too persistent they will just make the map look a mess I guess.

This weekends job its to rebroadcast the vrs data on a different port so plane plotter can be hooked up whilst Im still in my 21 day evaluation period. Then I can see what possibilities pp opens up :D

Nope. Can't find an 'all altitudes' box to tick. 5th option? I have the same items ticked as you Ross in the Aircraft menu, but nothing to pull up 'all altitudes'.

Must be that my version doesn't include it. I'm version 2.4.0.0.

TBH it's something I can live without. Pretty picture and all that, but can't see what its purpose is.

Thanks anyway guys.

Menu gear - receiver range for the various altitude spikes.

VRS - Plane Plotter now working after a bit of head scratching & tinkering with output / input options. Now to see what the various menus in pp do

@Llew - having hooked PP up to VRS at lunchtime & left it running Ive found the trails are persistent on PP. Most of the trails are beyond my tracking range by some way so I suspect its plotting extra data extrapolating a straight line once it disappears out of range of my antenna - probably for 5-10 minutes. I havent figured out how to change this option yet

Hmm water pipe isnt as strong as Id expected. I pushed the antenna up a foot , then after an hour I was wondering why the range had dropped right off. So I went outside to have a look & the top third of the antenna was drooping over at 45 degrees giving me the UK's only mixed polarisation adbs antenna :D

May be longer trails right to destination if you left it on for longer and zoomed out? I'll try PP and see how it plots on the map down here.
Problem - today, two of my dongles are overheating if I leave them powered up for any length of time, and dropping planes like flies. I have the dongle in a powered USB hub which might be suspect. I have another one somewhere which I'll try tomorrow.

my dongles are overheating .
Ice pack in yer pants maybe ???
I'd suggest less time spent on the OMG thread...

Yup, OMG thread - - - - - -> cold shower ;)
