hi guys
please accept my apologies if my queries have been covered before but i have spent hours trawling this extremely helpful forum and have gained a lot of knowledge prior to taking the plunge.
i would love to open up the world of the satellites to make the most of my recently purchased , supposedly perfectly capable, reciever (cuberevo mini).
i have narrowed my questions down and would appreciate any specific advice.
firstly my options are limited on size & positioning of the dish & i intend to have a go at it myself.
i would like to go with a motorized set-up to realisticly get about a half a dozen or so satellites.
my dish would need to go on a wall in a back yard at high level (about 4.5 metres), to look over a roof . i am quite caplable on ladders.
the maximum size i would be happy with regarding looks, handling & setting up on a ladder is 80 cm.
i have seen full kits available which look quite capable for around £100
q.1 what would be the limitations of 80cm from 30 deg west to 30deg east which is roughly my clear view of the arc. my location is belfast n.ireland (latt 54deg).
q.2 i would like to make the dish mount as unobtrusive as possible so would a 12" standoff wall mount bracket + the motor (tm2200) be sufficient distance from the wall for an 80 cm dish to turn 30 - 30 deg given that the wall it is being mounted on is roughly perpendicular to 7 deg east of due south (according to dishpointer).
sorry for the long-winded first post.
thanks
