Good afternoon from a misty Mullion Cove Cornwall. Due to high winds and sea salt my diseqc motors last about 12 months, the constant buffering of the winds causing play in the drives, even the latest metal ones. Adjusting helps but as a lot of the wear is in the parked position side on to the west winds, adjusting tightened it up too much else where. The Aluminium dish I purchased from The Satellite superstore a year or so ago has always been low gain, though they did not want to do anything about it. The paint has now peeled off the bracket, a very poor job. There does not appear to be a lot of choice on suppliers of systems, so I have been looking at a 1.2 Channel Master dish with their home made mount and Jacks : - _satellitesuperstore.com/satellite_diseqc_motors_36_volt_motors.htm#36vhtoh"]Satellite dish motors. Primesat DISEqC motors. 36 volt Superjack actuators. Polar mounts. Inclined orbit motors. Technomate motors. They are also offering an inclined orbit motor on the larger sizes, but not as yet for the 1.2 size set up. I have asked them on several occasions if I could fit the inclined orbit motor to the 1.2 size bracket, but the owner has always skipped the question. One time when he was away his stand in said he did no see why not, but again when the owner returned he skipped the question. Why the heck people cannot just say yes or no I have no idea, as my mother in law once said, ( There is nowt as queer as folk : ) that is Lancashire talk. Have any of you gents experience of the mount they make, how are the top and bottom bearings made ? Is the galvanising any good and the do the bolts and Jacks stand up to the weather ? Thank you for your time. God Bless Allen and Alanna [Admin note] live link deactivated
