I would like software or a good site for info on aerial installations and problems ie which area uses which transmitter
how much signal on a horizon HDTM meter is needed for freeveiw
picture problem cures for horizontle bars or ghosting
and basic installs

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Will give you the transmitters, not sure if there is a site which will lay out the other information you require, particularly as different boxes have different thresholds and sensitivity.

PS. there should be no ghosting or bars on digital TV, regardless of signal strength.

If you get any ghosting or bars with a digital signal then I have found that it is likely to be a poor quality scart cable (not individually screened) causing signal leak or, very rarely, a problem within the TV itself.

Sometimes anything else in the signal path such as a scart splitter, scart switcher, etc, can cause the same problem as they do not keep the signals sufficienty isolated.

I find that asking the neighbours next to the property for the new aerial would be the best bets.

If they have an indoor or TV top aerial and get good reception then so will you.
If they have a 40ft mast, guy ropes and a 128 element yagi with plate shield, then so will you.
