Agreed, but sometimes that's quite difficult if you're after information on specific issues/products/people/places, etc.
I would suggest, that you strenuously try avoid agreeing to
any and all optional cookies - or even cancel visits to particular sites where there are no options to cancel some/all cookies - because allowing those could open you up to data mining you really want to avoid, and which in turn builds up pictures of you and other links where you may have expressed opinions/stated stuff about a subject of interest - and which an AI might later incorporate in the "information" it gives to you or others.
Lie on profiles wherever possible, and even then give as little profile info as possible (I do!) .
Also, replace mainstream browsers & search engines which are notorious for "leaking" sensitive info with ones that at least claim not to do that
(well maybe?).
And basically "keep your eyes
and your brain wide open" all the time!
PS: the "problem" is then that you are probably the only one amongst the
thousands/millions/billions of people who
don't take those precautions, and thus result in the leakage of all sorts of stuff/"info" that may or may not be true!
