Probably not - the encryption flag is set although the encoder is off. Sky boxes normally just see the encryption flag & blank the video.
 
I see some of the posters on another forum are claiming the whole RTE being fta is a wind up - so what exactly have we been watching this evening? This seemingly being based on one "I get no signal" report.

RTE News Now and RTE One +1 is completely clear no flag
