Hi, my Amiko SHD 8360, looks like it's gonna quit after 5 years. The tuner is playing up, no signal, the motor still drives using diseqc 1.2 commands. I have only a Nokia 9800s without trouble to test atm, signal locks fine with it :) I have also re-flashed the Amiko, but still the same.
 
Could be the PSU of the box dieing off and the signal is showing the signs of this, either way beats my Xtrend that died after 14 months!
 
I bought the Amiko for HD recordings, and it has served me well. Just recently i started to use it for blind scanning also, maybe that's what caused the tuner to go.
 
I also have a Edision Progressiv HD Nano Plus Led, same situation with the tuner, only after a couple of months of use, was driving the motor too. It still is in the warranty period, so hopefully can get it serviced or replaced :)

Well that sounds a bit alarming, horrible coincidence or something else would be my concern mate.
 
The build quality of the Amiko model is much sturdier than the Edision one, but very similar software.

I have the Amiko Alien 2+ and I'd say one thing positive about it and that is the overall build is very solid, pity the Sti processor and tiny flash RAM made it so awful in performance.
 
Just an update, the Amiko is still alive and kicking, the Edision was sent for service but not fixed under the warranty, coz my cable was faulty and caused the damage. I replaced the cable and all is fine :)
