The seam that joins the two halves of the shell of the motor is at 90% to the motor shaft so I just offer my digital level up to that seam. It's more than 6" long and there are no curves to worry about so this is pretty accurate. I've never used the scale on a bracket. They're terrible things, especially the ones with the pointer built in to the washers. In the case with the photo it's about a degree out. Levelling a 1224 is a lot easier though because you can just plonk the level straight on the top plate.satelliteman said:Inclinometer = problem solved.
I've got one of them too but I find it loses zero when it is stored in the toolbox and I need a reference zero to reset it. Seems to loses zero within a couple of hours. By loses I mean it is several degrees off. Is yours the same or do I just have a dodgy example?satelliteman said:Example.
