A long career acting in many films and TV. Popped up in so many guises I hesitate to name my favourite; perhaps the old butler in 'The Remains Of The Day' as Anthony Hopkins' father.

R.I.P. Peter.
 
Outstanding acting career, played good, bad, sensitive and hard characters.

He was PC Gobby in the -original - Village of the Damned.
 
So many roles, as a kid growing up in the 80's obviously I remember him from Porridge. R.I.P. Peter.

Grew up watching him on TV ..
This has been a very bad year for losses of great talent ..

An actor whose name I always looked out from an early age. As well as Porridge I remember him from Citizen Smith where he played Wolfie's girlfriend's father in the early series.
