HI guys, I wonder if someone can help me out. I'm in a bit of a pickle with my DM8000 v5 remote. If anyone has this box / remote and has access to a JP1.x programming cable, could you please take a backup of the remote with IR v8.xxx and post it up for me please.

I've managed to screw mine up and I don't have a backup ! :-DOH2

Cheers...

Fixed. For future reference here's a backup of the remote.

would you like to 'share' how you re-program the remote?

Certainly mate. The remote is a standard JP1.2 remote. It can be programmed using a JP1 serial cable and the IR software. The software is free and the cable you can make yourself or buy one.

Thought you were talkin about the DM remote?

Why would one want to reprogram the dm8000 remote? :-per

Easy to answer...
Mine (I have a DM70xx remote, for now...) controls all of my main room: PLASMA display, audio ampli, 2 Dreamboxes (I can choose which one), the PCH mediaplayer, etc..
If you want you can also control the Air conditioning...
Is the BEST all-in-one remote I have ever seen...
You can also mix keys between devices: e.g. I control the volume of my audio ampli with the Dream up-and-down volume keys.
Now I need a Dm8000 remote, because my DM8000 is a chinese clone, and chinese remotes are ultra-cheap ones and not JP1,2 compatibles...

Ciao, Piero.
