I'm heading across the channel this weekend. Has anyone spotted good deals on TNTsat packages in the multis?

Thanks

Unless your planning to use the standard receiver i wouldn't bother. I've just sold my TNTSat card as it was becoming too much off a pain having to update software to get my receiver to open stuff using the card.

I use a PC based PVR for Astra1 and was half thinking using the standard receiver while investigating the possibilities, but your comments are making me think again......Thanks

And even then I wouldn't bother. I set one of these up for someone in the summer (metronic, supplied by the customer) and every couple of weeks it does an update and deletes all the favourites. Anyway, half the channels are currently FTA on 5 west.

Yes, but not all of the ones people want unfortunately.

I can't speak French so I don't know which are the good ones. The ones below are encrypted, but the rest are FTA, some on 19E and some on 5W.

  • NRJ12
  • i-Télé
  • W9
  • TF 1
  • M6
  • Direct Star
  • NT1
  • France 4
  • Gulli

Well I can only work from experience, the main channel everyone seems to want is TF1, but they also want France4 and M6, it's a bit like saying to someone who wants English TV, you can have most channels, but not BBC1, and Channel 4. But also it is not useful if they have to use two satellites, most of my customers want a single small dish pointing at one satellite.

I just got back! Carrefour had Strong TNTSat for €99 but couldn't convince myself it would be money well spent. :)
