Any point in upgrading software?

My Satellite Setup
S/H 80cm dish + PSI LNB, 1 x Konig digital decoder. Acer laptop Win7 x64

Hi,

I have a pretty box-standard Konig FTA receiver. I see that there is a way to upgrade to the latest software by downloading a couple of files and hooking up the rc to my laptop (not sure what kind of cable I'd need...).
I just wanted to know what would be the advantages ifd any of upgrading the software. I'm an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of person...

I would agree with you on this point, the most you should be doing is a rescan as channels and frequencies change all the time on a fixed satellite, all the more important if multisat setup to do a rescan, you don't say what satellite you are receiving

If the rx does what you want it to do then no real need to update. :)
