Has anyone got the new white SKY Card yet??

I wasn't gonna resort to asking this but looks like 1 of my final straws,

was gonna ask, IF it is possible, someone who has received their card, would you be willing to do me a huge favour, to phone SKY up to say their card is either damaged or missing, and what SKY will do is cancel the card and send you a new card out in the post, and was gonna say for someone to send me the cancelled card in the post,

if anyone is willing to do this, could you PM or email me and I will give you my postal address and I will pay for any postal costs etc..

If this post isn't allowed on here let me know and I will delete or change the post...

Thanks,

well, had to cancel my sky subscription bout 2 yrs back now cos of finacial problems and work wasn't looking too good, plus i got myself a dreambox and had it set up a few month after cancelling sky,

thats reason 1, reason 2, soon the blue sky cards will become useless and at this moment in time i can't afford re-subscribing to sky for the contracted period just for a new sky card if you see what I mean

Any such card would be totally deactivated not just turned off.

It would be useless as an ftv card, and only of any use as an ice scraper or for putting undert the legs of a wobbly table.

I find bending them in half gives the table leg a better support.

Why don't you just have Sky send out an FTV card?

its just that I am actually using a cancelled blue SKY card at the moment and that still gives me all the FTA channels, i have 2 cancelled SKY cards in fact, 1 which is my own cancelled card which is in my digibox and the other is a cancelled SKY card that I got off a mate when his neighbour was moving house she give him her digibox and SKY card as she was moving abroad, and as he had no dish to using the box with he passed them onto me, the box i don't use but the card i use is in the dreambox

it would also not be reactiveated as the cards "still belong to sky" and are non transfurable so even if you try to get it switch back on it would still be in the orignal name.
A cancelled card will only give about 3 extra channels and as it says above you can phone sky and ask for a FTV card for £20

IF (and that's a big IF) SKY's creating new 'white' FTV cards, then you should have no problem obtaining one either from Sky, one of their resellers, or ebay. But with all major UK channels now FTA, there's no real incentive to issue a new FTV card just for Sky3, Fiver and Five USA.
there's also a slim chance that the blue FTV cards will continue to work after the card swap.

Anyhow, in addition to satellite, the three channels mentioned above are on freeview terrestrial.

you're jumping from FTV to cardshare now, quite a jump ...... You don't need a FTV card to continue using your c/s.

What is the relevance of card sharing?

You don't have anything that anybody would want.

A FTV card blue or white is worthless.

In that case, this thread is a waste of time Macaaron20,

what card you have in your box is irrelevant, as it isn't being used.

Suggest if you really want the channels, go pay SKY the fee!

No-one in their right mind is going to want to help you with your dodgy proposal, especially as it won't work anyway.:-rofl2

I'm just seeing what my available options are, thats all, as the way work is at the minute, i can't afford a 12 month contract just for a new card

I am not looking for a way to not pay a thing, I am just looking for a quick and easy alternative till I get myself sorted, if there are any other cards out there (a one off simple payment, or anything) any solutions, any whatsoever, I'd be really greatful,
don't get me wrong, I'm not here to get free tv, far from it

First you need to get a card that you can barter with so to speak, something like these http://www.satellites.co.uk/satelli...huge-price-cuts-subscriptions.html#post835703

Im sure you would get someone if you go to the right places to ask;)
