Well I got one of these :D iPod and other hard drive ones are out of my price range so I couldn’t consider them, also they are on the large side. I’m quite pleased with it, takes one AAA battery and claims to last 8 hours, the unbranded free one that came with it has done about 5 hours and is still going, but the indicator says it is getting low. My main criticism of it is that moving between directories takes time navigating around menus, there is no skip directory button like there is for tracks. The range of equaliser settings is actually quite good, and it’s needed for lower bitrate tracks. I’ve read that you can edit the equaliser settings by modifying a file when it’s connected to a PC, but I haven’t tried that. Currys are selling a unit that seems to be the same for £100 on ‘special offer’ Not as many features as an iriver or something like that, but it does what I want and I’m happy with it. :)
