anyone using a faval dish

because im not sure how to use the elavation guide on the side i live in sunderland what should it be set to i know my lat is 55 but the elavation on the faval starts at 20

the elevation on a fixed dish in the uk would be approx 25 to 30 degrees, hope this gives you somewhere to start looking, also have a look at the dishpointer website

How could you know that without knowing which satellite is to be received?

because the satellites are all along a arch in the sky, see here

and for the uk they are normally within this range the most common ones that is,

The arc runs 0-32º in the UK.
