I've been asked to put in pace box for someone for BBC HD. The tv they have is component and pc input (plus scarts) but no HDMI. Is it BBC HD on HDCP (think so)? Any way around it?

Never noticed any restrictions on BBC material using component out on my Humax or Fortec Passion, just Sky stuff I think.

I'm sure I've read that $ly has the capability to restrict the component output but has no plans to do so at present. This is probably because there are so many of the HD TVs with only a component input - as you have found out!
