I am fully aware of the posts that I write and respond to, and I hope the mods don't think I am bleeding their knowledge dry, but I am not experts like yous. :D :)

I also hope my questions sometimes may be of help to others...

I can only give back what I get as regards techno knowledge in the only way I can and that's through, debate, humour and respect. Yet occasionally I can identify with some folks' problems.

Cheers. :)

Reading, asking about what you don't understand, trying out and sharing what you have found is one of the best ways to learn (and help others). The occasional bit of thinking helps too, stick with it and pretty soon you'll be advising others. :)

Anyway you gave us your helpful tips ;)

Thanks...I think I lot of people DO have the same problems as me, and I am willing to have a go at repairing the ailments rather than pay OTT for someone else to do it.

I know that sometimes does you guys out of a job, but we all get to learn not to be so scared of our equipment, as long as the plug is disconnected from the elctrical supply.

Passing on info, or at least pointing folks in the right direction to find the info they want is half the fun. :D

Its much easier finding useful info with the arrival of the internet. When I started in the hobby10 years or so ago you had to wait for your monthly magazine to arrive, and of course the info was 2-3 months out of date..... Nowadays channel changes can be picked up in a day or sometimes a couple of hours.
