Arte on 13E,no picture,sound ok. What s happening?

11681H,27500 black screen with normal sound...what s going on?
The German version on 19E,works fine.

done that,still black.
 
There is nothing unusual about ArteHD (except 1080p and L5.0), so it is difficult to say why your HW does not display the image.

Strange is,the other stations on Hotbird work fine. One issue could ben,this transponder carries encrypted channels (basic French tv,we call the "TNT" )
all encrypted,but Arte! and Arte has sond & no picture. Can an LNB fail on just one TP?
 
Most HDs on the 13E use 1080i and L4.0
 
Thank you again! I switched from "p" to "i",does absolutely nothing.
Iaddedd2 new frequencies for Sky on 28E... maybe one "jams" Arte purely by chance?
 
As you said that sound is ok, then there is no jamming. Probably some trash in stb channel table, so try to delete entire transponder and scan it again.

Setting the output format is not the same as processing "p" in the input demodulator

Manually write p instead of i....but where?
It's a Comag receiver.

I did that,it s an ecrypted list with French basic channels,used by Canal plus (the French "Sky")
Only Arte is FTA,rest encrypted. Have used Arte for years on same TP...
 
Just had another check,still same:sound ok,strong signal as always,no picture.
My receiver displays 3 icons when recetion isok :sub/ttx/epg
On Arte it shows sub and epg,not ttx. And subtitles when chosen,do display.
On other channels all 3 display or just epg & ttx when channels has no subs.
On Congo,also Hotbird:(no subs,no Epg),it displays none,but pic & sound are fine!!
 
Can you please try to scan in the following 2 channels, also on the Europe Beam, and listed as FTA:

ARTE Artelier 11662 Vertical 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 2/3

ART Invest 11179 Horizontal 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 2/3
 
Arte atelier and Art Invest are two of lots of empty Italian channels. Great mystery for me as to why are there all these empty Italian channels carrying bawdy ads,in 20 identical versions with different names,over 100 of them on Hotbird.
So only one is the real Arte!

I just wanted to know if you could scan other channel in, and get a picture. Checking not only signal quality, but both Horizontal and Vertical polarities.

As other members state ARTE works normally, the problem must be with your receiver or satellite setup.
 
Are there any other 1080p channels in FTA? Do they scan in and are viewable?
