My Satellite Setup
i worked at satellite field from 1995 when i was small boy.
i have a good idea about reception in gulf countries and i worked at saudia before.
i have a good idea about old dishes like DH, PARACLIPSE, JONSA,ORBITRIN, KTI AND OTHERS.
i know veryy v

hi am beside you from portsaid north east of egypt allastra can recieve by DH 240 cm but better to have good signal use 310 cm dish like me patriot to recieve also astra 2 d but by good lnb like invacom.

Even if this discussion is rather old, i know for sure that there are quite some people interested in receiving 19.2E in Israel and surrounding areas. But your answer seems to deal with 28.2E since you've mentioned 2D, right ? Nevertheless if you do have aimed to 19.2E, we would like to know if you miss or lose frequencies of Astra 1H/KR/L/M.

frist you are welcome, i would like to insist on that recieving astra astra 19,2 or 28.2 is not imposible but the only one problem you will face here in egypt the quality of dish here in egypt all big satellite dish maybe from 1992 maybe older( 1989) so that specially at coast region like portsaid , alex , matrouh all these dishes faced big storms and wind so that to can use these dishes correct you must make maintaince for polar and body of dish.
but i can told you you that i recieved many times astra 19.2 full channels in portsaid by 240 cm (DH) and ( paraclipse 230) (hershmann 210 cm) ( orbitron 380 cm mish) (310 cm patriot) my dish but the problem now that am in new flat so that i still without big dis when i install it i ll show by pictures most channels of astra and dish picture.
